This is a really fun and easy project, and we were pretty happy with the results! We spelled out "Liberty" using precut wooden letters, but some other word ideas are "Freedom", "USA" or "America". We also went with the button and stitch look, which looks cute, and gives the letters some interest. You could actually come up with many other styles as well. We hope you have fun with this idea!

Sammy the Sea Turtle PDF Pattern and Tutorial is now available in our shop at Squishy-Cute Designs!

Sammy is the first plushie pattern in our Under the Sea Collection. We will continue working on more patterns for this collection and others.

The next pattern that will be released is Percy the Peacock in our Feathered Friends collection! We will keep you updated on his release!

Here is our latest Mother's Day card idea! For this card we used a stamp from the Birds Galore stamp set by Inkadinkado, but any other stamp would work. It's a fun design, and hopefully will inspire you if you had planned on making your Mom a homemade Mother's Day card this year.

Apr 28, Coming Soon To Squishy-Cute Designs!

Well we have finally had a little time to start thinking about our shop: Squishy-Cute Designs. This is where we one day hope to sell many of our cute felt plushie patterns. However, things have been somewhat on hold until we could complete our blanket stitch page, which you can see by the previous post, we just did! This blanket stitch tutorial was needed for our first Squishy-Cute plushie, which will be........ Sammy the Sea Turtle!!!
Under the Sea Collection

This is a little sneak peek of Sammy. We have been working on creating him for quite some time, and are super excited to get this pattern out! The pattern/tutorial will be a PDF file that completely walks you through making him (including how to do each stitch), so even complete beginners can make him.

We hope to have this up for sale within at least a week, and will make another blog post letting you all know when that happens. We really hope you like this little guy! So What Will Be Next?
The next Squishy-Cute pattern is going to be a peacock. We are in the very early designing stages (As in, I have felt and beads and buttons strewn across the floor!) but I hope it won't be long before we can give you a sneak peek at him as well! He will be in our Feathered Friends Collection.
