Angie and Kayla's Snowflake
This was such a fun project! I made this with my 9 year old daughter. We loved this idea, but wanted to try our own design and this is what we came up with.
To make our design, we first cut 6 pieces of string in 2" lengths, and laid them around so they all met in the middle. We then cut 6 more pieces of string in about 1 1/2" lengths. We bent these in half, and laid them down to form the inner star points. Finally we cut one long piece of string that was about 15" long. We laid this all around the edge to form the outside of the star.
We just used some old watercolors that my daughter had from school. It turned out a little darker than we expected once it had dried, but I still think it looks nice.
We sure had fun making this, and hopefully everyone likes it!
